My Daily Routine
Eating raw foods all day is what works for me! I eat raw until my last meal of the day, and then I enjoy a warm cooked meal with raw leafy greens. My favorite is rice noodles with one of my homemade sauces, or a big bowl of potatoes topped with my favorite homemade hummus. I always add in raw greens to my cooked meals too 🙂
Here is an example of what I eat everyday:
I start everyday with a 2- 3 mile run, and drink about 32 oz of water, and follow that with a warm cup of lemon water. Personally, I enjoy fasting every morning for 2 to 4 hours (drinking water only, no food). I’ve done this years before becoming vegan and it has taught me discipline, self control and allows my HGH hormone to take full effect!
- 1 Giant Watermelon (this is my favorite breakfast!)
- I either do a Giant Green Smoothie (about 64 ounces or more), 5-6 Gala Apples, or a Huge Bowl of Greens with one of my favorite homemade dressings
Around 3 or 4 pm is usually when I go to the gym for my lift (about 1 to 2 hours after meal two). This is the perfect time for me strength and energy wise. Immediately after I come home and crack open a fresh coconut and drink the water (so flippin’ yummy!) Then I prepare my dinner which I make sure is extremely high in starchy carbohydrates – a perfect meal to consume right after an intense workout!
- Starchy carbohydrates such as potatoes, rice, rice noodles, beans, or quinoa topped with any of my homemade sauces or dressings. At this point in my day, I am done eating acid, sub-acid and sweet fruits and will only consume fatty fruits like avocados or coconuts with my meals 🙂
- Coconut Cashew (N)Ice Cream or Coconut Chocolate Pudding topped with Homemade Peanut Butter
(I love desserts, it was my biggest fear when I went plant based vegan that I would not be able to enjoy my favorite treat ever – ice cream. **Note – I eat four meals a day because I am so active! This may not work for everyone else, but I encourage you to eat until you are satisfied. My portion sizes are HUGE for every meal except my dessert (because it is usually very high in fat). This works wonders for me physically, mentally and emotionally. However if you are full and satisfied after meal three, don’t feel inclined to eat more. Vise-versa, if you are still hungry after meal three, feel free to indulge in a healthy treat!
