I consider a burpee to be a perfect push up (not a crossfit pushup) into a jump squat. The reason I choose to perform a perfect push up is to build better shoulder and chest muscle, and I personally feel it engages my core more. If you choose to do it the “crossfit” way, I don’t care. If you can’t perform a push up just yet, I’ve listed all modifications. If you find yourself getting exhausted halfway through your set, switch to mountain climbers instead of the push up.
